sealady7 is on a distinguished road
I'm a Maritimer living in Vancouver. I agree with most of what I've read here.

Vancouver is absolutely beautiful. It's so different from home in that respect. Home is just as beautiful, but in a different way.

People in Vancouver are really into their sports. If you are a sporty person who likes the outdoors and bears then this is the place for you. Vancouver also has some really nice beaches. The skiing here is amazing, but super expensive along with everything else here. You won't believe it coming from the Maritimes!

I had seriously considered moving to Montreal before moving here as well. Basically, Vancouver is fun for now, but I'm looking forward to settling for awhile in Montreal. J'adore Montreal!!

I'd like to see a January average high of 16 C and July average high of 34 C!

Instead of a January average low of -1 C, an average low of 9 C.
Instead of a July average low of 13 C, a "tropical" average low of 23 C.

All-time record highs, record lows, even Pacific sea surface temps ... and 10 Celcius to them too.

I'd probably move there in a heartbeat if it was like that.
What do you think, Robynator?
Seems like San Diego will be perfect for you
