Hello,
I am from India and on the verge of getting a PR in Canada. My younger son is two year old and elder is in his 9th grade. Before relocating, I would like to know the below.
For locations like Montreal, Toronto, Calgary, or Quebec:
Opportunities available for IT people (Information Security).
School fees (for younger and elder both). Info on both pvt and public schools please. Is French mandatory.
Rent for a decent house.
An approximate monthly expense for a family of 4.
Any other information.
Can someone please help me here. I have read some blogs but they are way back from 2012 and 2014. Please guide me here.
Public school is free everywhere in Canada. In some places they even provide school supplies like workbooks, pencils, erasers for free.
French is generally mandatory as a second language everywhere outside the province of Quebec (so 9 of 10 provinces). The main teaching language is English.
In Quebec (including the city of Montreal) the main teaching language is French, with English taught as a second language.
