Talk to the many thousands of your own citizens who are outraged and protesting. Seems your fellow Americans aren't all enamoured with Trump's idiotic antics.
I'm talking in general....and some of your fellow (or my fellow too) Canadians are crying that they are not going to visit the US....
Do you have some statistics now how many do not support extra vetting or you count only who has the biggest megaphone??

"all Syrian refugees from entering the U.S. for an unstated amount of time, banned all refugees worldwide for at least four months and issued a 90-day ban on travellers from Yemen, Syria, Sudan, Somalia, Iraq, Libya and Iran. "
If you hold already a US visa or GC you are not banned, simply there is higher scrutiny and extra questioning. New applications have been suspended (or banned if you wish) until an adequate vetting system is in place...press secretary said 120 days. Syrian refugee program suspended.
325.000 people from foreign countries entered the US yesterday, 109 were stopped for questioning and eventually released or in the process of being released. The media made a gigantic mess as usual.

More than 300.000 foreign visitors entered the US yesterday, only 109 were stopped for questioning and eventually in the process of being released.

Really? Today:
Quote:
In mere minutes during an interview with NBC, White House chief of staff Reince Priebus said the order "doesn't affect" green card holders, then later said "of course" it affects green card holders from Iran, Iraq, Syria, Sudan, Libya, Yemen and Somalia -- the seven countries Trump has temporarily stop immigration from for 90 days.
If you are a US citizen, GC holder or work permit holder (basically if you have already status) and your travel from these destinations, you will be scrutinized, questions will be asked at port of entry, delays can be expected...but you will get through obviously (unless something is wrong)
Before some fool make some stupid comment, it has nothing to do with race.....if Mr. Joe Sixpack from Texas wearing a cowboy hat and boots start travelling back and forth from Yemen he will be questioned and scrutinized at port of entry.
New applications for visas of any kind from these countries suspended for a certain amount of time until a vetting system is in place.

Say what?
Crying?
Those stating they're not visiting the U.S. are allowed to make an informed decision without it being called "crying".
There may be a question in there somewhere about extra vetting but I'm d****d if I understand what it is.
You'll undoubtedly see more of this coming from all points of the compass over the next few days as reaction to that poorly crafted and executed announcement.
I'd opine that should have been anticipated and of no surprise to anyone with a functioning cortex.
It is very clear, let's see if I can explain.

Crystal clear.
That must be why various immigration lawyers are all getting different answers or no answers at all from HS and border security staff.
Nothing but "confusion" seems to be the result with legal section responsible for advising the administration not even consulted, no directives given as to how to implement the order, and no unified interpretation from the administration itself.
If that's your definition of "crystal clear", you're operating with different parameters of optical clarity than the rest of the planet.
I hope you all know many of us are appalled at what has happened as shown by the protests again this weekend at airports all of the country and the cheers and welcomes the people who were held got when they were released.
