Québécois humour has never really been PC. Even in today's ultra-PC world it's only become slightly more PC.

Yeah, but I don't think this parody titled "Touche pas à ça", parody of MC Hammer's "Can't touch this" about the Oka crisis would be made so easily today.

I found nothing funny or amusing about the Oka crisis from the cop losing his life to the months long blockades, all started by greedy developers trying to build condos on Indian land.

And if I remember correctly, they wanted to expand a golf club on the Indian land as well.

Apologies for this little bump, I spotted this old scan of the French newspaper Montreal La Presse who covered the beginning of the Oka crisis on July 12, 1990 stored at the Banq (Bibliothèque et archives nationales du Québec/Quebec National library and archives).

I remember that, too.

Mr. Daynet and I used to live on Behrens near Airlie and Labatt Streets in Lasalle. We now live in Chateauguay.

We remember watching a bunch of people hurling vitriol in French at the cars from the reserve, and pitching rocks at the vehicles.

Not to name any names or mention the company, but a lot of those people worked at a nearby brewery. I recognized one or two faces.

Disgusting act of cowardice. I was repulsed.

Those eejits thought that they were so big and tough hurling objects from the protection of a slab of concrete that jutted over the drivers.
