It is a really, really good album.

I think it's still the best selling music album in French in the history of music, anywhere in the world.
You are correct! I still have it somewhere.

Yes it's an excellent album.

I can of prefer her then. The Diva stuff isn't really for me.

Any other French Canadian singers with the potential to cross the language line? I’m sure a number of them are bilingual.

I can probably ring off close to 20 Céline Dion hits in French just off the top of my head.

So the answer is yes.
Definitely. She's released an album called Encore en Soir in 2016.

Last year she returned to Montreal for a homecoming concert - probably the first one in Quebec since Rene's death - and I think she did about 20 songs in French, and 9 in English (some of her biggest hits like "Because You Loved Me" and "My Heart Will Go On").

Not many are trying, now that I think of it.

There was or is the Montreal band Simple Plan that are all francophones.

Coeur de Pirate made an attempt. Not sure how much traction she got.

(She's already a big star in Quebec and France, but in French.)

What is the age of consent in Quebec? I sometimes wonder if Rene took an interest in Céline before she was “of age”. He has a child as old as Céline.
