I think others outside of Ontario will disagree with you as far as Canada basically being Ontario.

Nah. Don't believe that, take it with a pinch of salt. Whoever told you that was either pulling your leg or repeating hearsay from someone else who was pulling their leg. Nothing could be further from the truth and anyone with any real familiarity with Canada would know it. The provinces and territories and their cities and people and governments and cultures all vary from each other in a lot of ways, it doesn't matter what the country's population is. Those who think all of Canada is essentially all like Ontario haven't spent any time in the rest of Canada's individual provinces/territories and met their people. Probably never visited Ontario either for that matter, let alone the rest of Canada.

Agree. I get so tired of people saying they know Canada because they went to one part of it, probably for a weekend.

I owe you all an apology as that guy who heard from his neighbours landscaper that he had it on good authority all of Canada was like an Ontario back yard was a passing "economic migrant" from New Mexico who took up residence in my garden shed and I only let him use the pool a couple of times to cool off. He left upset.

My bad.

Canada will be lucky if they can continue ruling over Canada.

You have a point there.

These days it seems like 10 separate countries not pulling together at all...the potential is there...
imagine if there was more co-operation between the provinces for the common good
of the nation...then Canada could rule the world and set the example for the rest to follow.
But right now....it’s kinda sad

I don't think so. I'm 100% sure Canada doesn't want to and never would want to rule the world. No matter how much cooperation there was between provinces nor how much it might be able to set good examples to the rest of the world. For any country aspiring to rule the world it requires a type of national arrogance, greed and murderous ruthlessness that Canada doesn't possess.
