Default From NYC to Canada

We have been to Vancouver, Canada. We want to take a trip to Quebec, (we do not speak French,) or Toronto. We will be driving from NYC. Can someone give us the pros and cons of both cities, and which one will be easier for two seniors to visit, with a dog. And would it be easier to exchange our money to Canadian money. Thank you,

I only went to Montreal. Loved it and highly refer any one to visit.
In Montreal we did find enough people speaking English to get by, but it was somewhat difficult.
As far as money, just take your ATM card to any bank and you can get Canadian $ out.

Montreal is 500 km directly north of New York (Around 5 hrs driving).
Toronto is 6 - 7 hrs... more far away.

Montreal is nicer, and they speak french
