I live in Victoria...#2 on the list. I would have thought it would be lower because of the high cost of housing here....I am surprised to see Ottawa at #1 though.
I can believe that Ottawa is #1. Have you been there lately? Interesting architecture, perfect size, great museums, the Byward Market, canal bikeway, outdoor sports on the river, tulip fest (this week btw), beefeater prosessional....
Glad to see Kingston is #4 as that's the closest one to me and a place everyone from here loves to visit. A similar type city to us but larger, more money, and lots cooler.
If you read their methodology it makes sense. Of course you'll have a hard time convincing me that Estevan, SK is equal to Calgary. But that's just me.
They weight climate highly, and they give equivalent value to bike/walk to work as to unemployment.
