Default Family considering move to Canada.....any pros or cons?

We are considering, what my brother calls "defecting", to Canada.
We've made a list of Pro's & Cons and was wondering if anyone else had any opinion?
Thanks for your time.

It really depends on where in the USA you're travelling from, and where in Canada you intend to go. The regional differences are too great to generalize a Canada-USA pro/con list.

As stated above, your questions are a bit vague for any meaningful input, but one thing I can add is:

Several years ago, an editor for the Washington Post, started researching his reporter's articles (all were related to N. America - US and Canada). When he put it all together, he came to the understanding that commonalities exist in a north-south direction; that is people in the British Columbia have more in common with those to the south (Washington, Oregon, N. California) than they do to the adjacent province of Alberta. He did write a book on his findings which was titiled "The 9 Nations of North America" (could be 7?)

So depending on where you are and where your intended destination, if you are looking for commonalities this would be a good place to start.
