I see alot of " pretendians" online. With the popularity of DNA tests I see alot of people claiming to be Native after finding out they have small amount of Native DNA. There is a whole trend of so called " reconnecting natives". Aalot of these people actually get support.

I don't think it really matters. Did Buffy teach us about indigenous people and their travails? Did she set it effectively to music? I am really tiring of identity politics. It is bad for Canada, bad for the U.S., bad for all.

I can claim to be an indigenous native of one of three Middle Eastern tribes. Yet I prefer my identity as someone who works hard.

You have referred to yourself in the past as a "proud Jew." How would you feel about a gentile claiming a Jewish identity and that they lost all their family members in the holocaust?

Sort of like George Santos? Seriously if, in the process of the fraud they educated a lot of people I would call it a mixed or complicated legacy.
