Hi!

In March, 2007, the United Nations Committee on the Elimination of Racial Discrimination described the term as racist, as it singles out a specific group.[1]
Do you think that the term "visible minority" is inappropriate?

Not to defend the term or criticize it but in Canada the "vizmin" numbers are often used to establish objectives for minority hiring. For example, a city with X % of visible minorities might set a target for having X% visible minorities in its workforce.

Well it is a complete contradiction to the term "colorblind society". It's an awful term and honestly it's pretty embarrassing.
