Best places in Canada during October?
My fiance and I are considering Canada for our honeymoon.
Are there any ideal locations (best weather) in October? We'd be there Oct. 25-31st, probably.
Thanks!

For weather statistics, see Weather Underground: Welcome to Weather Underground : Weather Underground. Weather varies dramatically across the country - there are many different climate zones. October is also the month that's hard to predict as it can be pleasantly warm or downright cold, or both! But it depends on where you are. Some areas are more temperate/mild than other locations.
I wouldn't worry about weather so much, but more about what exactly in Canada you're hoping to see. Distances are so massive in Canada, with only a week or less, you can only really justice to one city and perhaps a day trip or two to nearby natural attraction. Where in Canada were you hoping to go? How are you planning to get there? How were you planning to get around once you're there? Only then can we give some useful information. Canada's larger than the USA, and just like the USA you can't really give accurate advice without narrowing down to a particular region. Maybe start off with some provinces and go from there.
A general rule of thumb is that the weather trends in Canada mirror north-south to their American counterparts. So do the ecosystems. ie: Seattle and Vancouver share the same seasonal weather patterns, the same temperate rainforest ecosystem. The Canadian Rockies of Alberta/BC share the same flora/fauna/weather as what you'd find in the Montana Rockies. Saskatchewan is as flat as a pancake just like the Dakotas to the south, and they both share the same continental hot summers/cold winters climate. The Great Lake region, whether you're in Ohio, Pennsylvania, or southern Ontario - the weather is really not that dramatically different. Going to Montreal? Vermont has similar weather. Maine/Nova Scotia share the same Atlantic regional climate, etc. You get the main idea.

It depends what you are looking for. Weather wise, Kamloops, BC is gorgeous from about April/May until November. Very sunny, hot and dry. Temps can reach 40+ degrees (celsius) for extended periods in summer, though, which can be uncomfortable. I enjoy the relatively short winter and minimal rain.

I'd say...Niagara Falls or Montreal or Quebec City ....all these places would be outstanding for a honeymoon in October ....with added bonus of fall colors of changing leaves ...if you prefer heading west Vancouver and Victoria are both fantastic too

yes it does depend a lot on what you're looking to do. And since Canada is so broad and so diverse both culturally, physically, and visually, you need to know what you want to do before you visit.
In october, in Ontario, the leaves turn such beautiful colours and are incredibly beautiful, especially around the Georgian Bay area or even Muskoka. And since it's in the southern part of Canada (well not Muskooka, but Goergian Bay and the Great Lakes) it should still be a decent temperature to enjoy the outdoors, if thats what you're in to

Montreal or Quebec City - fall colours, nice weather etc. It isn't cold until November or December and the snow seems to start later and later every year (and unfortunately keep falling later and later! ugh)
