The truth about the Canadian health care system
I m an American who is soon to marry a Canadian. He and I have discussed the differences between the US health system and that of Canada. He likes the Canadian system, he has never had long waits, inadequate care, rationing, etc. However, I have noticed some pretty negative comments on these boards. Some claim that there are long waits for elective surgery, etc.
I am wondering how you feel as Canadians about your health care system. Have you had good or bad experiences? It seems to me that the Canadian system is great...especially when compared to the US system where you can loose all of your health care if you loose your job, etc.
