Default Nurse considering move home to Canada

I moved to the US 6 years ago to work as an RN. I planned on only being here 1 year. I am wondering if there are any RN's out there who worked in the US who have since moved back to Canada. My husband and I (both nurses and both from Canada) are having a really hard time thinking of moving back. We know our lifestyle would change significantly and we wouldn't really have the job security that we have here. I have managed to get my master's degree all paid for by my hospital and we have been able to move all over the country and "travel" for very lucrative salaries. We want to move home to be nearer to our families, but also don't want to give up on all we have here. Rambling now, but just wondering if there is anyone else out there who has been through this situation, and may have some input for us.
Thanks in advance.

Default I'm Confused

I'm not a nurse and I don't play one on television, but bear with me anyway.

If you're hopping about the country from one contract to another, job security hasn't exactly been an issue.

You can't have it both ways. You will both need to bite the bullet and decide which you value more: your present situation or a locale closer to your families.

Don't both going back to Canada I just left a year ago and they are still cutting nursing jobs, over working them and not paying well. My advice would be stay in the US, perhaps find something permanent close to the border.

She could've had security if she took her contracts through the same travel agency.
