Heavy equipment operator looking for work in the oil sands (places, to work)

I'm a heavy equipment operator out of Chicago looking to get into the oil sand field up north in Fort Mcmurray etc.. I've applied at places and never here anything back,but yet there still looking for operators. So if anyone out there that can help me out with any info on another path to try I would really appreciate it.Thank you ,and hope to hear back for someone....BILL

If you're white and an american you're screwed. They only want minorities because they are on the only ones that suffer... blech..

We're sticking with Alaska. It's far from the 48 states and like a country all their own.

You might be a couple months late. I think many oilsands projects are on hold, until oil gets north of $50 again. Make sure you have filled out the paperwork that allows you to work in Canada. They will hire Canadians first though.
