Which Canadian cities do you like the best??
IMO, my favorite are Montreal, Ottawa, and Quebec City. They all remind me very much of Europe (So biased of me ). Which Canadian cities do you like the best??

Montreal and Quebec City - yes, because of their "old world" charm.
Vancouver - because of it's magestic settings (mountains, ocean, parks, and city bustle -all in one), and because of it's diversity. This was where my senses got a crash course in the oriental cuisine - Chinese, Thai, Indian, Japanese...
Halifax - because of its understated pride in all things marine; and the Acadian influence of colored houses. I suppose the original settlement tradition was to have white houses with maybe colored shutters. Now the rows of houses are like strings of Christmas lights.

Let's also keep this in perspective - the average Canadian has never travelled across Canada and probably has only ever visited the cities in their immediate region.

Yep. Gorgeous.
Newfoundland is mind-boggling beautiful - but St. John's - what a city! Loved it.

Calgary... Right between the Rocky Mountains and the almost-desert Prairie...

I lived in Edmonton and loved it. I also really really liked Calgary. Supposedly people either love one and hate the other and vice versa. I thought they were both wonderful cities. Very different - but great cities.

I'm a fan of both but for different reasons. Edmonton has better shopping, restaurants, bars, much better concerts, and arts opportunities. Calgary has better outdoor opportunities, a much better airport and slightly better weather. Between the two you have all bases covered.

I love Vancouver... where I chose to live! I also like Victoria for the spectacular beauty. I have been to Montreal where my parents used to live... no way I would want to live there... unless you love the brutal winter, the snow, and all that slush.
