where to live in AB?? (rent, place, water)

I moved to alberta from ontario and I live in Lacombe and it sucks so i was wondering if anyone knows of a nice place to live where rent isnt too too much and the water is nice. I fear i might be suck here if no one has any ideas. I live with my boyfriend we are both 22 We have two cats...they are holding us back with no one allowing pets. Would love to hear any ideas
