In comparison to universities in the US vs Canada there is no comparison.. it is FAR cheaper for Americans to go to school in Canada, I am not sure though what this means now considering the dollar is on parity.

I grew up in and did all my post secondary education in Canada, but I now live in Washington DC and I am going to grad school part time. You have no idea how much it costs to go to school in the US it is abhorrent.

It is important to look into financing. My son is going to a trade school in Canada and cannot get a loan in the US or in Canada. So, do your homework first. Some universities in Canada are accepted for US loans.

As soon as my money comes in from that dead foreign minister, for those uncompleted projects you'll be set.

Wow! How helpful all this information has been! My father is Canadian and my mother American, and we currently live in the US. I've seen U of T recommended for medicine, and Waterloo for engineering. Any ideas on business schools?

My father graduated from Carleton University, then did part of his grad at McGill. He is very persistent that McGill is a great school, but so far, every Canadian insists its famous for medicine.

We have all the books, but unfortunately, our book stores do not like Canadian universities, and do not have any information.

Thank you

THe best place for medicine is U of T, not that McGill wouldn't be shabby either. McGill is just an all around best place to go for just about anything.
