I quickly checked their websites.

McGill BA 2012-13: tuition 14,561 + ancillary fees = total $16,872
UofT Arts & Science 2012-13: entering 2012, $28,409, not sure that includes all fees
UBC, Arts 2012-13: tuition $22,621.50 + student fees 937
Queen's: $23,909 including fees

That might explain McGill's popularity right there, but I guess you have to factor in financial aid and scholarships.

That's what I thought. As a city Montreal is also way cheaper to live in for a student than Toronto or Vancouver.

Its more expensive to go out of state in the USA i dont even want to know how much it cost to go to a different country.

The answer is three posts above yours. My cousin from Virginia went to McGill largely because it was cheaper than American options.
