Dear all,

I am planning to move to Montreal. And the offered salary is 75K.

What do you think will it be enough to live? Could you tell me for how much will it cost for 1 bed apartment, food , daily life expences..

Thanks and really appreciate for your help,

The title of your post is a bit misleading - it should have said "living expenses in Montreal", not salary range in Canada.

Montreal is the most affordable big city in Canada. You'll do very well living in a 1 bedroom apartment on $75,000 a year.

Yes, you'll be doing nicely with that salary. With that amount and proper planning, even a family of 3 can live decently (one breadwinner).

The rents are also affordable (i.e. 2 bedroom, 800sqft, everything included, $800, concrete building). And the monthly expenses for groceries would be $600 for a family of 3 (no going outs and in-house cooking).

What's not nice is the long and cold winters and too short + humid/hot summers Plus you must be comfortable with the Francophone majority.

Another thing.. depending on where you come from, you may find that taxes may or may not be higher. If coming from the US - good chance taxes will be higher, coming from Europe it will depend on your home country.
