Question suggestion for transportation from Halifax to Moncton

My friends are traveling by boat and will arrive near Moncton/Shediac. We are flying into Halifax and planning to spend 8-10 days on the boat. The problem is that we don't want to do a one way car rental from Halifax to Moncton or Pictou due to the cost. Does anyone have a suggestion for an ecpnomical way to get from Halifax airport to Moncton area?

I frequently take the bus to Moncton when I fly from London to Halifax. Acadian buslines picks up at Halifax Airport three times daily. You can get information here:

Acadian : Billetterie en ligne, tarifs et horaires d'autobus.

Sometimes the website comes up in English, sometimes in French. If it comes up in French just scroll down and click on English.

If you plan to take the bus, I recommend buying your tickets online - they don't sell them at the airport and you have to get on the bus (no ticket, and then get off in Amherst or Truro (scheduled stop) to go in and buy a ticket. Easier to just get it online.

The station in downtown Moncton is centrally located.

Good luck!
