There are a lot of things to do in Kingston for a few days and one of my favorite places to visit. Best if you stay downtown by the water where most of these are located and within walking distance of each other.
The Grand Theatre — Home Page — Kingston, Ontario, Canada -The Grand Theatre
Fort Henry - Kingston, Ontario, Canada -Old Fort Henry where they have a changing of the guard by cadets, various activities, and a museum with a WWII engima machine. You can walk across the bridge or along the canal afterwards. You can start here and go west in this order:
Wolfe Island Business and Tourism Association -The Wolf Island car ferry a 20 minute ride each way.
City Hall, the farmers market, and the tourism booth are all in this same general location as well as several cute stores and restaurants. There's a marina and art galleries and the Muni towers and Henry Gibbons bed & breakfast ship which was formerly an ice breaker are further down along the water. I'm not sure if they have the tourist trolley operating in Nov from the tourism center. There is also the 1000Islands tour boats for fall foliage if you have time, or nearby Queens College.
I'm not familiar with the Indian or Jamacian restaurants but would recommend the Pilot House for a seafood/pub atmosphere. There's a wonderful ice cream place which is recognizeable by the lines. Chez Piggy and Panchenco are also worth consideration in the food category, all are in this same area within a block or two back from the harborfront.
