Thanks guys - it was a nail biter all right!! I felt bad for Team USA - they played a great game. But - thrilled for my countrymen to finish off the games and win the biggie on home ice.

Congrats to Canada. And congrats to USA. Tonight, I think we all won.
Too right! I am over in the UK and the announcers here were saying that this game had the most viewers worldwide ever for an Olympic event!

That game was just flat out awesome.

I was video chatting with my family back in Canada, and I had about a 2 second advantage ahead of them for the game.

When the tying goal game in the 3rd I just about lost my voice, and I could just watch the colour drain from my sisters face on the internet!!

Still I called the score right but got the wrong team. I called 3 - 2 to the US, but the right team won, they deserved it.

Awesome game... my voice this morning is just gone...

whats with all the american russian rivalry talk by the u.s. media? and the simpsons when marge went to curl in vancouver, they said it was russia and the states in the gold medal game.

i would of thought the americans would want redemption for us winning it on united states soil in 2002. guess not.

I have no idea what you're talking about, unless you're referring to the chatter about the 30th anniversary of Miracle on Ice. The NBC team made several references to the U.S.-Canada hockey rivalry.

there was more talk about beating the russians then the canadians. same with turin. which dosnt matter. the russian are always fun to beat. they like to cry.
the americans were doing a little crying after the loss also, sore losers.

either way next olympics will be sweet.

Oh come on Mike. Stamping their feet and whining would have been sore losing. There was none of that from Team USA. If Canada had lost there would have been tears as well - everyone loves their country, everyone wants to win and when you want something badly enough and play your heart out (not to mention the great equalising goal minutes before the end of the last period that gave them fresh hope!!) - losing feels like failure and it is gutting. H-ll if Canada had lost, the ice and the stands would have been flooded in tears!!.
