USA 5, Canada 3
That's what you get for putting gravy and cheese curds on french fries.

You do realize that Canada could still win the gold and the U.S. could come away without a medal, right? The victory was great, but let's not get too cocky. Although Canada can't feel too good about the prospect of facing Russia in the quarters.

Such a stupid post does not warrant a response.

In fairness to sunshineleith, there was some offensive material removed from the original post which upped the stupidity quotient by a considerable margin.

LOL!
Come on guys this was a fair poke at us! I'm a hockey fan and watched the game. Miller played an amazing game! Not much can be said for Brodeur, though I'm a Canucks fan and thought Luongo should have been in net. Kesler scored a fantastic empty net goal, and he plays for Vancouver!
I hope Canada can beat Russia, then maybe there will be a re-match in the finals. Remember Canada won in 2002 (Salt Lake City)

Actually the original post was not a fair poke - nor is the spirit of the Olympic Games about pokes and insidious digs.
Unfortuantely I didn't get to see the game over here in the UK but read up on it and from what I did read, Team USA played an amazing game and Miller took somthing like 42 shots on goal with nary a blink and performed phenomenally!!! So kudos to the USA! And while I would be thrilled to see my home and native land take the gold, if the USA takes it I am sure it will be from a game well played and what a thrill for our neighbours!
The USA has come a long way in hockey the last few decades and are playing brilliantly. And I am sure it has nothing to do with biscuits and gravy.
