I am a 49 year old widower who has always wanted to live in Canada. I would love to find a Canadian woman (possibly a Québecois).
C'est possible???

eHarmony, plentyoffish, lavalife

I met my husband online. Didn't specifically do it with the goal of emigration, but it ended up that way as he was from the UK and I from Canada.

Sounds strange to me. I hope your potential wife won't be upset when you tell her your motivations. I would love to live in Brazil, but I would never look for Brazilian women in order to get there. I would feel that it was somehow wrong.

Yes, the way I worded it sounds bad. Of course I want to meet a woman that I can truly fall in love with. It would be nice if she was from Canada.

Can't you move there first and then let local love hit you? Canada has a relatively generous immigration policy.

I thought that it would be difficult for someone older than 45 years old to emigrate to Canada.

There are various avenues to immigration, one of them being the skilled-worker system. Maybe you achieve the required number of points.
