I do, too; took my grandmother, my dad and my husband. I hope it doesn't get me, but there is no way of predicting.

Well they do think I have cording in my arm - it can be an afteraffect of lymph node biopsies and breast surgeries, and I've had both. I am set up to see a therapist tomorrow for a consultation. It doesn't really hurt that bad but it just disgusts me that I have another weird thing going on with my body. Ugh!

Had an echocardiogram today to make sure one of my cancer meds is not harming my heart. I sure hope it's not; this drug is know to really reduce the rate of reoccurance for the type of cancer I have.

Having only one more chemo treatment after this has put me in a REALLY good mood! So far I am feeling okay from treatment on Monday, except for LOTS of wicked hot flashes last night. Did not sleep well at all. But I'm grateful it was no worse, no stomach problems at all so far.

I have been told via DM that my response(s) are somehow unwelcome. I believe I am correct in my assumption that if questions are posed in an open forum, I am permitted to reply as long as my comments are not insulting, rude or antagonistic. Since I am a cancer survivor, I don't think anyone has the right to suggest that I refrain from responding when the OP asks a cancer-related question. In future, I can utilize the ignore feature and any response I make will not be directed at a particular questioner. Fair enough?

For what it's worth, I love reading your responses and the responses of many others. I think that your positive spirit is uplifting and motivating. PLEASE keep right on posting! Those who don't like what you have to say can choose to stop reading your posts, but I would miss seeing what you have to say!

Congrats christina!

And yes, OTC ibuprophen is exactly the same medicine, prescription is stronger dose, but you can take the same mg of OTC.

Getting out and enjoying life post treatment is always huge. I know it was for me. A week after my last treatment I delivered a half dozen grave stones to a cemetary. I pulled into my driveway at 3:20 that afternoon and crashed and burned, but I got it done.

You speak true!! It would have been very easy for me to take to my bed, or my recliner, after my cancer diagnosis. My youngest son and his family would have been more than willing to care for me regardless of my level of activity. Instead, I auditioned for a play, came home and, as you did, hit the couch and took a loooonnnggg nap. The following day, when the phone call came with the news that I had the role, I immediately thought, "Oh, no. I must be crazy. I can't stay up late and I'll never be able to remember my lines!" But I did both and had a wonderful run. Strangely, I have not felt an urge to return to the stage, but knowing that I could if I chose lifts my spirits every day!

I want to convince everyone that cancer is no excuse to give up. Do what you have to do to get well, and continue living as much as you're able. And the posters here are proof that the human spirit is indomitable. Sadly, we may not all survive. But what we do while we're here is inspiration for those who follow.
