Thanks for posting this! Philadelphia had its Purple Stride on Saturday and I was unable to participate, but am supporting the organization in other ways.

thanks, so much needs to be done to get this dreaded form of cancer more attention. It is said, it is not a common cancer and that is why it isn't getting the research money it needs, but we know more people who have lost their lives due to it than due to any other type of cancer...
Thanks for posting this. A few days ago I put a banner on my Facebook page. MUCH more money and attention are needed to wipe out this monster. We also need more of an understanding of its progress in patients so that those of us who are caregivers or are going through it or watching others go through it have a better sense of why the ups and downs in markers and symptoms.
thanks so much for posting!!! Great strides need to be made and soon!!!!!!
Hopefully we all can do more to get the word out.
I don't have anyone affected by it but what Patrick Swayze went through; then everyone here.. It really rips my heart out.
I wish it would get the same attention as Breast Cancer gets in October.
I think we all do, but the problem: breast cancer is so much more common...now, looking at the strides that have been made in treating breast cancer, lets hope the same can be done, with pancreatic cancer. We have so many friends that are breast cancer survivors, but not a single one who has beaten pancreatic cancer.

The strides in breast cancer treatment and research in the last 10 to 15 years have made the survivability much more likely. Early detection is always best. More then the whole turn everything pink campaign.
