Hello,
I bought a computer chair at Walmart today, it small and comfy, and cheap only about $20
I was happy, until I go home put it together, on the bottom of the chair there a Cancer Warning: This product contains chemicals known to the State of California to cause cancer.

I believe this is due to the Proposition 65 in California, make many many household products have this warning label, I heard even funiture have this labels.

So should I return it? I been sitting on it all day today and it very comfy, I would love to keep it. But I am debating with myself on whether I should return it or not.

Anyone in here have their household products contain warning labels like this? Would you return it? Any advice is greatly appreciated, thank you.

Do not eat your chair and you should be fine.

Could be the fumes from cheap materials. Maybe formaldehyde or something. It will probably outgas after a while. Some people put these sorts of things outside to air out before using. He should not SNIFF his chair.

A while ago I bought a clipboard with notepad attached - it was a good deal, meaning cheap. I took it home and on the back of the clipboard there was a sticker with the Proposition 65 warning. It's just paper, but the clipboard is made out of plastic. It doesn't really inspire confidence in me for the product after reading a warning like that. I do think it has something to do with the formaldehyde and possible fumes, as poster in-newengland wrote about. I don't know why there is formaldehyde in the weirdest places - I remember reading that shampoo used to have formaldehyde as one of its ingredients not so long ago.

Wouldn't be plopping my nether parts down in that chair!

There is a reason why infertility issues are on the rise.

Just keep your pants on when using a chair like this.

In California even the sand at the beach causes cancer. It is a loony proposition.
