Default Pre-Cancer?

Almost 3 1/2 years ago I had a hysterectomy at the age of 33.

I was told I had to have a traditional hysterectomy because my uterus was 4 times the size it should be and they were unable to do the vaginal option. While they performed the operation they found Pre-Cancerous cells covering the back of my uterus, the lining, my bowels, tubes and ovaries. They found a "suspicious" spot on my one ovary so they burned it off and left that ovary but removed everything else.

Nearly 5 months after the operation I was put back in because they thought it may have spread to my lymph node in my groin. Thankfully they removed 7 nodes and they were all clear.

Since the operation to remove everything I have been having INSANE pain on that remaining ovary every few months. A few times it actually brought me to my knees and tears. My question is to anyone who has been in a similar situation that may have some answers for me. I am afraid the "Pre-Cancer" cells may be causing trouble or worse, which I don't even want to think of EVER. lol My biggest concern is because my mom, sister, aunts and grandmother are all cancer victims. I am not sure if I should panic and run to the doctor or just continue to tell myself it's nothing to worry about and try to put it out of mind.

ANY thoughts are welcome. THANKS!!!!!!!!

I would say go the doctor as soon as you can. There's no point in taking a chance.

It sounds like an ovarian cyst, which are EXTREMELY painful. Best to go to the doctor as soon as possible so you don't have the fear and the pain!

Have it checked out. Yes it could be a cyst; they are very, very painful. I have also had abdominal surgery for other reasons and some time later started having horrendous pain. Numerous tests later and no significant revealing results, the Dr told me that it was probably adhesions. Adhesions - Symptoms, Treatment and Prevention You'll be so glad to know that the pain came and went for many months, but was sporadic, fleeting, occured less often with time. Once you've had surgery, things are never quite the same.

Forgot to add, these pains didn't start till more than 2 1/2 years after surgery. Nothing would surprise me.

Well I guess the best IS to go get it checked out, I am just nervous. If they hadn't told me that they found a "suspicous" spot and pre-cancer cells I probably wouldn't be so concerned. With such a strong family history and the trouble I have been having I have been a bit cautious. Crossing a finger and hoping for the best

My mother is a survivor of cervical cancer. She had a radical hysterectomy over 10 years ago. It is something that you can get through! I would definitely go get it checked out, because best case is that you go and it is nothing. At least it will let you know. Keep us posted and we'll be thinking about you!
