I have been with geico for many years, have a 2011 honda accord that is payed off, have never got a speeding ticket or any ticket with points. I am 26 and they won't lower my rates despite the fact I am no longer 25, and are charging me $92 a month for a $1000 deductible in western upstate NY. I also hardly drive at all, I bought my car brand new in 2011 and only have 14,000 miles on it and have not driven for 3 months due to ankle surgery. Is this reasonable or am I getting ripped off?
Do you have a garage for your car that you park it in, and are you rural or in a town, I think both those things affect rates somewhat- I am assuming no accidents in the last couple years since you didn't mention any...

I park my car in a garage, I live in a rural-suburban area.

What did you ask me that for if you weren't going to answer me?
The best way of figuring out if you are getting "ripped off" is to call other insurance companies and get quotes. Many of us (myself included) too often don't shop around for insurance. It doesn't take that long, and you'll know if you can do better or not. Insurance is very location and background specific, so asking on a national (international) forum won't get you too far.
On another forum I'm on, someone got quotes on their new car from their company and 4 others. 1 company (travelers in his case) was significantly cheaper than his current company and the other 3, so he switched.
Call a few places, and let us know if you did better!

I think you are correct, usually any accidents on record as well as nasty serious convicted driving charges lose their "sting" after three years.
