fake insurance claims against me in an insurance company that I am not using? (car insurance, driving record)

I recently had a couple of agents gave me a quote for car insurance. Both of them found that I had two claims in the past three years. I called my current insurance company and they said they can not find those two claims. The secretary of stated showed my driving record was clean. One of the agents told me that the claims were with GEICO. But I have not using GEICO for 8 years. Anyone has similar experience? Is it a scam? What shall I do, cause it increases my premium. Thanks!

Could be a scam. Could be a mistake.


One way to check is to get your CLUE report. It's free and it will show claims if you had any.


Go to the following site, scroll down to "order options." Might as well get both reports.

Most likely it's a mistake. I would get the CLUE report as adjusterjack suggested and then give it to the agent who is quoting you. They can then adjust the premium.
