I’m paying 160 a month, full coverage 100/300 for 4 cars. 2020 Kia Soul GT Turbo, 2016 Ford Transit Connect Passenger, 2014 Fiat 500, and 2007 Honda Element EX. the Element is the highest cost in the bunch. Progressive.
Try this website.
It gives you quotes from many insurance companies. I was with Geico for years until I used this, and now my insurance costs almost half of what I was paying for the same thing.
$120 a month for liability is the best I can do for a 2003 ford pickup.
Probably because I am a male in my early 30's.
Sigh.......
Pick-ups do cost more to insure.
Has your FICO score taken a hit lately? (I dunno if Georgia uses credit scores to quote insurance, but some States do.)
Figure a pick-up is almost double what a car costs. Even a 20 year old Toyota pick-up costs more to insure than a new Z06 Corvette. (BTW, a Corvette is cheap to insure, even with 650 horses...)

I did the same, both cars and a scooter. State Farm is having a fire sale on insurance compared to the quotes I was getting from everyone. My old insurance company Progressive decided to raise my rates even though in 2.9 years all I ever claimed from them was a flat tire change from roadside coverage.
I just put all of my info in and Georgia Farm Bureau is giving me a quote of $918 for 6 months for the basic package.
I don't understand....... Why am I being charged so much? I am 33 and have never had any type of ticket. I'm only using the vehicle to go back and forth to work which is 30 miles round trip.
Sheesh.
Try GEIGO! Same thing happened to me. I was paying over 1400 a year to a company I'd been with for years. One day I checked out GEIGO. They were offering the same insurance for $600 a year. I'm still with GEIGO after ten years, and I'm paying slightly less that $800 per year for standard auto insurance.
It certainly pays to shop around for car insurance every few years.
Always shop around. Do not use Internet companies that claim they shop insurance for you. They will bomb you with junk mail. Go direct to the company's website or use a local Independent Insurance Agent to shop for you.
Q: I'm paying $175 a month for just liability car insurance. Is this too much?
A: Pay $2100 up front and then it is $0 per month. Is that low enough?

OK, that wasn't helpful, I know. But I am surprised at how many people in this thread report they pay insurance by the month. Why not just pay it all at once? Fewer transactions mean less to think about.
People who pay monthly don't have the money to pay it all at once. They are the same people who pay 14% to 18% interest on credit card balances because they don't have the money to pay for something in full.

Also no installment fees. My own insurance company charges $5 per installment. That's $60 per year that I avoid by paying the whole premium up front.
