Saturday was the funeral and we all gathered at the farm prior to going to the church. A fox suddenly appeared and stood stock still, looking at us from the back side of the pond, which is directly behind my in-laws' farmhouse. Several of the guests sucked in their breath and whispered that a fox is a sign that the deceased has reached the other side and is content. First time I ever heard of that, but am real glad to see the message.
