I'm beginning to think that maybe your brother might have better advice on how to handle the estate.

You're joint heirs, he has said he wants to sell, you seem to want to continue to control him and the house.

I know he's got issues, but you said he's been handling things for 4 years now. You're not his guardian at this point, you're just the executrix of the estate.

Hopefully, someone will see that the OP is incompetent and take legal steps to have her removed as the executor. The situation with the mineral rights checks alone is grounds for that.

I really don't think she understands the role an executor plays.

He doesn't want to sell. He sometimes says whatever fits his agenda in a conversation. I don't even remember the agenda when he said he wanted to sell recently. All I know is that with probate around the corner I checked in to ask is that still your plan? And the answer was no.

I really don't know why you want to repeat yourself over and over, but thank you for your input!
