I just took another look at your pictures of Gypsy and what an absolute sweety she is! She looks like my Megan!

She is already trusting you! She actually looked up at you while you were taking her picture......what a great signal from her that she already "owns" you! LOL

Love the name! I'm glad you saved her.

Yeah, I don't know what's wrong with people either. I'm sorry Gypsy's had such a rotten life up until now. But the good thing is she's in a place where she will be loved.

Thanks everyone, and thanks so much for all of the reps. I was just doing what anyone of you would have done. Leaving her in a box was far better than just tossing her out. I'm gad she wasn't out their long in the heat. She had a good day of no hissing at anyone or biting and now enjoys kisses on her face. She still gets in her defense mode if I move my hands or fingers too quickly in front of her, but she is definitely gaining our trust. She will now go to my dh & dd and stay in purr mode.

Wow, what a beautiful cat. Thank you for being her first stop on the road to removing that haunted look from her eyes.

Gypsy is a beautiful and lucky cat. I'm so glad that she was saved from a life of misery. Thank you, thank you, thank you. Gypsy looks similar to my calico, Boo.

Nearly everyday I ask my elderly mom who lives with me the same question, "what is wrong with people?" Besides my three cats and my daughter's two cats, I've begun feeding three strays that are all within 1/2 block of me. Two of them have had kittens, so round and round we go. In addition, I go to my mom's house and feed a beautiful Maine Coon cat. Someone who had lived nearby my mom's house moved off and left her behind. At least she is spayed. If my mom keeps living with me I'm going to bring her to my house and try to integrate her to the other cats. Oy!

I just don't get people. How anyone would abuse an innocent cat or dog is not in my realm of understanding.

Thank you for saving Gypsy!
