I'll be reading this thread with interest.

I can tell when Neo's been up on the counters by the little pebbles of litter he leaves behind. Not fabulous.

I've given up trying to keep cat litter off of the floor.
I just wish I could keep it out of the bed.
Or off of the kitchen table.

Using the pellets def. helps with the tracking problem. TidyCat makes a Breeze Box...Odor Control Made Easy | BREEZEĀ®

My LitterMaids are in huge, covered utility tubs...helps, but not completely perfect.

If I could just get the cats to wipe their paws off with a Wet One after they use the litter boxes... but they won't. Sooooo, I use a Shark floor and carpet sweeper daily.

Same here.

I have repeatedly asked her to clean it after she uses it but she just either turns her head or just watches me. I've shown her how to do it hundreds of times but alas, I can't get her to do it.

Any ideas?

Default Box in a crate sounds best

I use Arm & Hammer (scent free) and the litter doesn't get too far but it is aggravating. I thought about putting a cat door into the garage or even to a sandbox in the back yard.

These cats are the first strictly indoor cats I have had and I would like to keep it that way. No fights, bites or getting carried off by coyotes.

Still if there was a place the could get out to but not be able to roam I would be up for it.

I basically just get out a broom and dustpan whenever I see litter on the floor- problem solved.

Feline Pine is very low track and better for you, kitty and the environment. I am never going back to clay. I have to keep the box in the bathroom and the bathroom smells like pine trees from it. I do use it a bit differently than the directions in the sense that I remove the pellets when they turn to dust instead of letting it all go to dust and then dumping the box. Anything that is tracked out is soft and not sticky like that clay stuff. And no more of that silt that get EVERYWHERE. That was so bad with fresh step clumping. I went to wash a pot that was sitting up on top of my cabinets for months and it was covered in silt dust from the litter. I could smell the fragrance coming off when I washed it! That can't be good to breath in. It just can't. LOL

I think those shaggy rubber backed plush bathmats really help. If you have the room, put the box on a big square of that indoor outdoor fake grass carpeting stuff.
