I'm looking for a tall type thingy that'll allow her to see birds/daytime but be safe on patio. Last yr we caught her via this patio she was stray & living on, & jumped up & down on, til we made her a pet so I know she'll run off if we allow it again unfenced. I've looked up some but anyone know best deal for a tallest type one, that maybe has a cage w/ layers to climb/sit on? Thanks.
I would try one of the solutions available on the Dr. Foster & Smith site. I have seen a few of these in use but personally don't use any of them. We have one outdoor stray cat that is really good about staying on the porch but I wouldn't trust any of our other fosters to be as well behaved.

I know a lady who's husband built her a place outside for her kitties and it was really neat. He used 2X4's and this plastic fencing..Shop plastic fencing at Lowes.com
The enclosure is about 6 ft high and he has perches at all levels, they even have a sheet tied at the top like a hammock and those kitties just love it! You could build it however big you want to suite your needs. She has hers on her car port so they are out of the rain should it rain.
One other thing...if you have an HOA or Management group to worry about in your community, make sure you get their approval in writing before buying anything. Our HOA can be very petty sometimes with anything put outside even when the backyards are fenced.
