Cats vs. Dogs
So I’m watching the 2001 movie “Cats & Dogs” on HBO and wondering: How come in pop culture, cats are always the bad guys and dogs always the good guys?
Last time I checked, Animal Planet had numerous shows entitled “It’s Me or the Dog,” “My Dog Ate What?” and “Bad Dog!” But no comparable shows about misbehaving cats.
This burns me up. Agreed, fellow cat lovers?

I love that movie! I think those shows you mention are titled sarcastically; they are actually about training (no one actually picks "the dog" on It's Me or the Dog!) But I agree that there should be shows on animal planet about unwanted cat behaviors and how to resolve them like there are for dogs. People should understand that cats are trainable. I use positive reinforcement with my cat just like I did with my dog and I'd argue that the cat is wayyyy easier! Maybe then more people would work with their cats when something comes up instead of surrendering them to a shelter.
Getting back to your question, I don't agree that cats are always the bad guys...what about Homeward Bound and Milo and Otis and Shrek? There are plenty of examples of cats being awesome!

Dogs are trainable.
Humans are trainable.
Cat's don't need training.
They just know what to do.

I have just searched in a dictionary about what words "cat" and "dog" mean. Just like Greek dog (gr. skilos)and ***** (gr. skila) have -between the others-negative meanings but cat no one!
wow!the forum has censored the taboo word! The best proof of my words!

If you look , ther is no particular lean.
I enjoy both as charicters of equal capacity. Cats tend to be independant and dogs tend to be submissive , but hardly the reverse is true .
I have had dogs that were stubbern mean and untrustworthy and cats that came every time I called them , no reward in mind except my attention .
Training a cat largely depends on the mother, and her temperment. andthe age the kitten is in your control. Training a dog is by breed. some breeds take training only a few don't. There are always exceptions.
In my lifetime I've had 20 different dogs and about 15 different cats.
No pets at present . except a few rabbits , but those ARE FOR DINNER LATER. they are not pets.

Aztlan in the Chronicles of Narnia was a good cat. No dog could come close to such goodness.
