Thanks for all the feedback. Haven't seen the cat. I asked some neighbors and all they could tell me is that their cat (who happens to look almost identical to mine) does not get along with mine. It's kind of sad, my neighbor has 2 cats and another has one cat. There is a little kitten that has been adopted by the entire neighborhood. I'm just hoping that when cooler weather sets in, I may see him coming back. Some friends have told me that after months, their cats come back. We'll see.

Please make sure you check with shelters and rescues around Houston. I would hate to think of your kitty in a Houston shelter. Someone could have picked him up and taken him to a shelter or contacted someone they know in rescue. Don't give up until you've checked them all. I'm so sorry you're going through this.

That's a bit of hope standing on the doorstep that the cat will return or at least is still in the area.
