It is so wonderful to see an older pet get a new home. I wouldn't change Michelle's name though, but that is just me.

It all started with my mother. He finally figured out when she was heading to the kitchen she would always take her mug to fill it back up.

And whats funny is he can be staring at her or waiting patiently for her to pick up the mug because if she goes to the kitchen he might get a morsel.

So i guess in his mind the formula works like this:

Mug + kitchen = food

Cats can learn very well by association (when it involves something they really want!). The cat I grew up with would make a beeline to the kitchen whenever she heard the electric can opener in operation. Sort of like Pavlov's dogs.
