Sounds like you have a real plan for Molly and a good diagnosis. That's half the battle. My prayers for all of you will continue.

On a MUCH lighter note... Will the scrip be filled as Molly _____? When the World Famous Murphy was put on meds I had to get them at the "people" pharmacy. His perscription bottles said "Murphy ___" and he had his own file. It always gave us a smile

Take care! Rest up yourself a bit!!
YEP! Molly's name will be right on the bottle! And yes, it does bring a smile to my face (not that she needs medication, NO!) but to think as you said, she is considered "people". LOL

I am so relieved it isn't even funny! The prognosis could have been a lot worse. I am thanking God every few moments for the absolutely fantastic Cardiologist who works at this Hospital, who not only has his heart in the right place, but has a "gift" with animals AND he is extremely thorough and very intelligent. We are blessed to have not only a very gifted regular vet, but now a specialist who is up there with Ghandi, in my opinion. (smile)

I just finished feeding Molly my fresh homemade raw chicken diet. And in putting her down, getting involved with the clean up or at least a start, I turn around and there is Molly, wagging her tail (she is a tail wagger ) and very interested in the remaining food in the dishes. Now that is MY Molly!

Thank you, everyone! Thank you, God! Thank you, Angels, in the form of Spirit and in people who were all involved in making Molly's procedure as comfortable and loving as possible today!!!!

As a side note, when Molly has to come for a recheck on her creatinine levels, I will speak privately with my vet, to tell her that the first words out of the vet who was there on Tuesday who took care of Molly, (my vet wasn't working that day),.....after the xrays were taken, were: "The prognosis is not good. She only has one year to live, if that." AND, this from a man who couldn't even read the xrays correctly! I was given a mouth, and I do intend to use it for this obviously wrong doing on the part of this man!!!!

There is a rotten apple, it seems, in every barrel.

I really wish I could reach out and HUG every single person on this thread who encouraged us, who prayed for us, who showed us a caring heart. God, I am so grateful to all of you. I don't think I could have gotten through this ordeal without you all.

So glad to hear Molly is doing better!!!
As for the prognosis the first vet gave you, that is the reason for second opinions, and of course a reason to tell your vet what he said. Further tests should have be done first.

I'm back to the tears again today. I guess yesterday has just caught up with me. Molly still is not eating by herself, although she ate the largest portion of food today, with coaxing from me, that she has eaten thus far. I am really thinking that she has been struggling to breathe for a lot longer of a time then I knew about, and boy, ask me if I feel just a bit bad about that.

She still seems so dehydrated, still wanting the extra water I am giving her through an oral syringe. Thank God the cardiologist cut back on her lasix. My "instinct" is telling me this med is just too strong for her, and I pray, and tell Molly, just hang on until the homeopathy remedy, that acts as a diuretic, gets here. By the Grace of God, it will be here today.

Molly is teaching me a huge lesson. Last night, I was flying, singing, happy, so relieved, and it was so easy to carry through what Molly is teaching me. This morning, is a different story. All I want to do is put my weary head down and ball my eyes out. That, and have a team of very capable people come here and take over for a few days, so that I can sleep straight through for about 3 days.

Anyways, Molly's Lesson is this: (said with a big lump and tears) You just don't know when your time is up here. With that in mind, live every moment of every day as if it were your last. Life is precious. Why? It is precious because of the bond of love you form with those around you.

Molly's face is showing the strain this morning. We are supposed to bring her back to the vet for a recheck on her creatinine levels in about a week, but at this point, I will have to rethink things. Just stressing her out with this heart failure, especially in the weakened condition she is in now, can cause a lot of problems, even death. So, do we go on faith and believe her renal function is viable and strong? I will leave this decision in God's and Molly's hands. Both will guide me as what to do.

Thank you all again for your support and for listening to me. Attached is a picture of my precious Molly. Please, don't stop the prayers.........she needs an outright miracle........and yes, it is the season of miracles.......
