Cute! Mickey had such a loud purr I could not get to sleep with him next to me. He just ran around the house purring, until one day, he did not purr at all, it was very odd, and he was hiding under the bed, and would not come out, I thought maybe he was sick, and was going to take him to the vet the next day if he was not back to his normal purring self...and that very day, we had an earthquake, not a big one, just a 5.0, enough to slosh the water in the fish tank, and feel...and he was fine the next day. I have not heard any stories about animals in Japan, if anyone noticed their pet acting different...
chaseystarz: That was a fun story! My Willie is a happy little critter and purrs a lot, but not at 73 dB! His is more of a strong vibration, but it's audible too. There is nothing so cheery as a happy cat!
jasper12: Good question concerning Japan. I'm sure there is a lot we will never hear about.
