One of my cats is blind from birth. I'm sitting here in my living room and noticed a little while ago that she was leaping around. On closer examination, I realized that there is a fly in the house, and she could hear it and was chasing it around. It flew up beyond her reach and she moved to the other side of the room. Just now I saw her take a flying leap again and she must have gotten it and wounded it, because she's playing with something over there in the shag throw rug.
Once I saw her stalk a moth that had gotten into the house. She finally cornered it, caught it, and ate it.
It's amazing what they can do just by sound.
Winkie is on the left. Her sister, Mattie, and she usually don't get along and swat at each other whenever they are near, which is why I took this photo when they were hanging out peacefully on the back of the couch together. Note Mattie's six toes on the front paws. (Sorry about the vacuum in the background, lol, but it IS the Dyson Animal with all the pet-hair attachments!)

I don't know why. I can see it. Hmmm. I always have trouble posting photos on City-Data, so this time I went into the Administrative Forum and followed the directions there, and it worked! ....I thought.
Well, I have always felt that being blind was not really a disability, just inconvenient sometimes. And your kitty is living a full, happy life! Thanks for taking her.
