I recently changed my cat to an all canned food diet (Merrick, Organix, byDave, by Nature) after alot of research. I am thrilled at how well he is doing on it. I thought it was going to be tough to get him off of the kibble diet but it was quite the opposite. He was a few pounds overweight and recently ended up with a UTI and Crystals in his urine. He looks to be losing some weight and his coat (which was really flakey) is smooth and shiny. Amazing what 2 weeks on canned food can do.

I have never seen him move so fast during feeding time. He now runs to the food bowl when Im getting it all ready and is much more active in the house.

My cat did this as well when I first switched him from dry to canned.

Eventually the effect wore off- he still likes his canned food, but he doesn't act like he is getting kitty crack like he did in the beginning.

Mine bounce down the stairs like rabbits when I say "Who wants breakfast?" (all meals are breakfast to them) And they're very affectionate when they're hungry!

Mine wakes me up at 5am for breakfast. I tried to cut him down to 1/2 a 3oz can of food in the morning, and he would have none of that! After I got up, he pestered me, until he got the other half of the can to eat.
