Default Overly Territorial Cat

So I let Skippy out and he has made everyone miserable ever since. I don't feed tons of outback cats, but there are a few, (Skippy, Greyfer, Baxter, Beavis, and a part timer named Jacks). Skippy has always been a cat bully, but for the past couple of days, he has made everyone miserable. This morning, he went into the woods and I heard him yowling with Greyfer for about an hour and a half. Poor Greyfer never made it to breakfast. (Yes I tried to break it up, but the closer I got the further away they would go.)

After listening to Skippy bully Greyfer for so long this morning, I figure this has to stop. I can't let Skippy prevent four other cats from eating. I don't have anyone who would take this cat and provide him with the single cat responsible home I would require.

I've thought about putting out the 3'x3' cage and setting Skippy up in there for a week thinking that perhaps it might get him in the mindset that he can allow other cats in his space without fighting. I'm at a loss and I don't know what to do. The other cats will have no peace as long as Skippy lives to intimidate. Any advice?

PS. This Skippy, (Ringworm on Cat)

Is he neutered? That may help. You can also keep him indoors where he belongs and would be safe.

Skippy is neutered. Skippy and several other cats that I care for were left behind after Katrina. They just started showing up looking for food and I started feeding them, getting them shots, and then set up the shed for their use. I cannot take Skippy in. I have four cats already and that doesn't exactly work well with DH's allergies as it is.

You're a Hero for taking responsibility for these cats. I don't think caging him for a week would help, I think it would make him, his territorial feelings, worse.

I guess you keep looking for a good home for him, as the only cat where he won't be needing to constantly defend his perceived territory.

Perhaps you can use the cage as a feeding station for the other cats, so they can eat safely?

Thanks Catsmom21, but I wouldn't say I'm a hero, just someone who can't stand to see any helpless creature go hungry. I wish I could use the cage for the other cats, but Greyfer is feral, and Baxter is beyond skittish, there would be no way I could get either of them in more than once, and if anyone remembers my posts on Bax, they would know that I'm not exactly keen on putting on the oven mitts and layering up on clothing to pick him up and put him in that cage, lol.

Today was a bit better with the cats, because I put Skippy in the house for feeding time and let him back out after everyone was fed, (shhhhh don't tell Hubby).

I know it's been a while since this has been up, but after a huge fight yesterday I'm at my wit's end. Skippy has now taken to running my cats off and after trying to break up a fight between Greyfur and Skippy, I have a swollen red hand and need medical treatment. Hubby says he is taking Skippy to the pound if things don't change soon. Anyone got any advice? Does anyone out there feed and care for abandoned cats and has some tips to prevent this kind of bully behavior? At this point I'm Googling no-kill shelters and trying to calm DH down, (he's pretty mad at this cat).
