Saber would like you to write about your heart cat Nic in his Visitations and Signs thread.

Being a heart cat himself he particularly loves those stories.

Well I'm sure this "announcement is premature, lol, BUT we have had two quiet uneventful days and nights here, since I declared myself Alpha/mom cat.

Scruffing, hissing, by me, whenever Meeko needed it and actually scratching my bed while they watched, on the top near the foot end, like a cat, with the same sound and tempo as the cats, seems to have made their territory/top cat dispute moot.

I'm in charge, so far.

After the final scruffing/scratching yesterday, they both climbed into my arms, one on each side, and fell asleep for the night with my arms around them.

Yippee! It takes time to settle.

After the loss of 3 angels earlier this summer, our remaining beasts are finally settling in a new order. Two of our cats are happier than they have ever been. It just takes time.

The peace didn't last long at all. Meeko was back to try to kill Alfredo within days.
