Default Animal Planet, Cat from Hell is back

I think I caught the first of this season's Cat From Hell on the Animal Planet tonight.

Watch this for behavioral issues and solutions.

I have watched this show with Jasper, his opinion is that the show should be re-named "Cat Owners From Hell".

I just saw this today! Have there been other seasons? I"m so glad to see equal time for cats. While I enjoy the dog rehab shows (I much prefer Victoria to NG's Cesar Milan) cats aren't dogs.

Jasper, it's always the owners that are completely oblivious to how they are interacting and what a mess they are making of their pets. Both Cesar & Victoria can really lay it on the line with owners on how they've (usually) caused the whole problem. and then how to fix it. Jackson seems interesting.

So what's with the guitar case??

Is Jackson a bit psychic, do you think? How did he know that cat was needing his own territory?

Watched the episode and the host is a man after my own heart, methinks.

Cats speak with every fiber of their being. Their actions and bodies, let alone their voice, says everything that we need to know about them. Just need to listen. Take into account the needs of cats, how they respond to certain stimuli (like pain or toys), and what the owners say and do... and the answer is right there in shining lights.

Jasper and I watched an episode tonight. The owners put a shock collar on the cat, were shooting him with a water pistol, the cat box was filthy. And they turned the patio into "Cat Riker's"...yep, we agreed, the name of this show definitely needs to be changed!

The owner would chase and grab the cat to pick him up...okay, clue, if cat goes under the table, he does not want to be picked up. The guy would grab him anyway, and get scratched. Well...

Jasper was so disgusted he went to bed.

I recorded it and watched it later. they weren't shooting the cat with a water pistol.. it was a nerf gun! you know, at first it can sometimes be a funny, goofy idea (it's not like they hurt), but if you actually think about what you're doing - it's terrible!! And Jackson rightly asked him the time it was video'd WHY the guy shot the cat: he didn't really have a reason, just wanted the cat to go out the door (where it was already headed!). and that shock collar?! never heard of anyone using one on a cat - and they're wrong for dogs anyway.

Those 2 sets of owners: how clueless can you be! Oh: one of my friends has one of those hamster wheels for her cat, and Muffy dose use it some, I think she has actually lost a little weight.

Jasper does think Jackson is cool, and likes the guitar case of toys and treats.

I never really thought of cats having "behavior" problems. It is usually pretty easy to figure cats out. They re-act to things in the environment that are unsettling, like a new cat, a dirty cat box, but for the most part, they just hang out on the sofa and purr.

Am I just lucky? Or am I just a great cat owner? Jasper thinks both!

Cats don't have behaviour problems. People just have listening problems.

We have one cat and attend to his litter whenever he goes. We inspect it many times per day and empty it always. They were doing it once every two weeks?
