I guess we think alike, Jasper. For some reason this has always been one of my favorite "lolcats"

I just sat and watched, really watched, our two cats sunning themselves while they groomed each other. Not a care in the world. How wonderful I thought to be able to just enjoy life as it came. That's when it hit me! I can now do that since all my responsibilities to my job ,and family, are either now gone or taken care of.

I lit up my pipe and promptly started another book but this time I was in no hurry to finish it.

Oh boy, that warm breeze is nice!
Wow, well said!

Cats don't have to work and have no concept of their own death. They certainly do think, but who knows what about. They dream as well. Since they sleep more than they are awake, that's likely most of their thinking!

We know our cats are always thinking and planning and scheming... we have two and they often play good cat bad cat. The good cat will distract us by doing something really cute or funny, meanwhile... the bad cat will get into something they know they are not supposed to be getting into...

We know they have meetings and plan these things. They take turns.
