Her eyes still aren't completely open (almost). I can see her kind of looking around now.
And she's sitting up (sort of).
She weighs five ounces today, which is double her weight from the first time I weighed her (two or three days after I got her).
Happy Birthday Baby!
And (sorry to be a nag) but I am so so so dying to see pictures of her little face with her eyes open. It doesn't matter if the pictures aren't "good". We just want to see! (turn off flash thought, so not to bother her eyes)

Patience, Grasshopper.
I still haven't figured out the digital camera and computer thing but my son who has been helping me with the pictures is supposed to come over on Friday or Saturday.
Just another couple of days.
But she is pretty adorable and starting to develop a personality - her favorite position seems to be on her back, purring, while I pet her tummy.
I can't wait for her to actually start to play - I'm not sure, but I think I've maybe seen some hints of it already.

Cinebar - better to have cat rearing skills than PC and digital camera skills, any day!
LOL
Her eyes are completely open now! What a difference in her appearance that makes.
Pictures either tomorrow or the next day.
She's been doing something weird the last couple of days that I'm a little concerned about. About halfway into her nursing on the syringe, she starts spazzing out - her little front paws start clawing at the syringe frantically and she gets all fidgety, but she continues to suck. The only thing that I can think of is that I have noticed that she is getting teeth and that maybe the hard plastic of the syringe is irritating to her gums. I'm going to try switching her over to the bottle (and the rubber nipple) again on her next feeding and see if that helps.
You know, I went into this knowing there was a very real chance, that despite all my efforts, I might lose her. And I was prepared for that. I would have been disappointed but comfortable with the fact that I had at least tried.
Now, if something were to go wrong and I lost her, I have to admit I'd be pretty devastated.

Can't wait!
