So, I started him on the Prozac on May 5th. I kept him confined for 5 days after starting the new meds. On day 6, he had full run of the house again, and we have had NO accidents/problems......waahooo!!!!!
We will continue on this route for awhile, many months and see if we can taper at a later date. He is currently on 5mg a day, takes his pill fine, no increased lethargy. His behavior has changed, he's not timid like he used to be, so it's a win/win situation for us and him.
Thanks everyone for all your tips/suggestions during our stressful time!! The meds were my last resort, and they're working!!!
